Sudeshna Basu, M.D., Hub Team Medical Director -pending bio

Paul Weigle, M.D., Team Psychiatrist                                                           Dr. Weigle is a child & adolescent psychiatrist and associate medical director at Natchaug Hospital. He received his medical doctorate at New Jersey Medical School and did his medical internship, general psychiatry residency, and child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship at Harvard Medical School affiliates, and is dual board certified in general Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr Weigle has twenty years experience providing psychiatric for children and teens with psychiatric illness, including psychiatric evaluations for public schools. Specializing in the mental health effects of screen media habits, Dr. Weigle serves as the chair of the chair of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Media Committee, and on the national scientific advisory board of Children & Screens: Institute For Digital Media and Child Development.

Natalie March, M.D., Team Psychiatrist                                                   Dr. March has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science degree in Biology from Central Connecticut State University.  She worked in research in the Anatomy and Neurobiology Department at the University of Maryland School of Medicine for several years prior to obtaining her Doctorate in Medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Nebraska.  She received her training at Hartford Hospital/Institute of Living in Adult, as well as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has worked with various specialized populations within the field of Psychiatry, including the Schizophrenia Rehabilitation Program and the Peripartum Program at IOL. Currently, she is the Medical Director at McCall Center for Behavioral Health. Additionally, she is the Consulting Psychiatrist for a local private high school. Her goal is to facilitate the provision of optimal mental wellness.

Jensi George, M.D., Team Psychiatrist                                                          Dr. George is a child & adolescent psychiatrist at the Institute of Living/Hartford Healthcare. She received her medical doctorate at American University of the Caribbean. She did her general psychiatry residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center and child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship at the Institute of Living/Hartford Healthcare.   Dr. George has experience in a variety of psychiatric clinical settings including, inpatient, short term crisis stabilization as well as outpatient services with the child and adolescent population.

Jasmine Mckenzie, Team Program Coordinator
Jasmine earned her B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University and is currently attending Boston University’s Masters in Social Work program. Jasmine has a history of working with children who have significant trauma and behavioral concerns. She has spent most of her professional career working in a therapeutic foster care setting,  providing support to children ages 4-21. She is certified to facilitate the “Not a #Number” curriculum which focuses on preventing child trafficking and exploitation. Jasmine is passionate about the work that she does and is dedicated to helping families achieve their goals.

Mara De Maio, PhD, Team Administrator
Mara De Maio is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her BA from the University of Michigan and her PhD in Clinical Psychology from St John’s University.  She is currently the Director of Child and Adolescent Services at the Institute of Living (IOL) at Hartford Hospital, where she has worked since 2010. In her role, she oversees 3 inpatient units, all child and adolescent ambulatory programs, as well as the Grace Webb therapeutic schools. In addition to her role as a Director at the Institute of Living, Dr. De Maio also leads various initiatives across the Behavioral Health Network (BHN) of Hartford Healthcare. She leads a Measurement-based Care Initiative, a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiative, as well as co-leads a subgroup of the Zero Suicide Initiative for the network. Prior to her role as a Director at the IOL, she was the program manager of two partial hospital programs for adults with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses. Her background consists of both direct care and leadership roles with children, adolescents and adults at multiple different levels of care, including inpatient, partial hospital, and outpatient settings. Some of Dr. De Maio’s areas of interest and expertise are in individual, family and group therapy as well treatment for trauma, affective disorders, borderline personality disorder, and psychotic disorders.  She is also dedicated to work related to reducing health care disparities.
